Biomechanical study of the upper limb wrist
Kouřil, Jan ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master´s thesis is focused on biomechanical study of wrist. There is a literature search on this theme in the beginning of this work. The thesis is described in detail anatomy of bones in the wrist. Subsequent the stress-strain analysis of physiological wrist is implemented in a neutral position. The model of geometry of wrist is created on base of CT data. To create calculation model and the solution is implemented in the computer system ANSYS Workbench.
Biomechanical Study of Hand
Krpalek, David ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Horyl, Petr (referee) ; Florian, Zdeněk (advisor)
This work deals with issue of human wrist and appropriate total wrist implant allowing a restoration of hand mobility approaching physiological condition after traumatic and degenerative diseases. Treating these diseases are very complex. These issues including a biological and medical issues. To determine the appropriate treatment method and select right total wrist implant is important to know the behavior the human wrist at all stages in terms of medical and biomechanical. For this reason, it was developed a biomechanical study including computation model of human wrist allowing solution of strain and stress of hand in physiological and pathological conditions and condition after total wrist implant. The frost remodeling of bone tissue was used for analysis of human wrist bone tissues and bone tissues after application of total wrist implant RE-MOTION™ Total Wrist.

Title: Case study of a physiotherapy treatment of patient with Arthritis of the wrist joints. Název: Kazuistika fyzioterapeutické péče o pacienta s diagnózou artróza zápěstních kloubů Aim The aim of my bachelor thesis is to analyze the diagnosis of my patient and find a proper therapeutic plan for his health care and to prevent any further complication. Moreover I will be able to understand the function and the structure of wrist joint. Summary My bachelor thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part is called general part and I mention a brief description of the anatomy, kinesiology and biomechanics of the wrist joint. Ethiopathogenesis and proper therapeutic plan is mentioned below. The second part which is the practical (special) part give us all the proper information about the patient's anamnesis, all the examination that where performed and also my therapeutic plan that I proceed to my patient for six days by using special strengthening exercises, Propriomed, myorelaxation techniques and modalities like magnetotherapy. Results After six sessions the situation of my patient was improved. The main goals have been accomplished. The pain was decrease and there was greater ROM of the wrist joint. The patient was able in the end to be active and confident without the sign of pain which was...
Difference wrist mobility with players racing and recreational tennis
Mertlík, Jakub ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Pánek, David (referee)
Title: Difference wrist mobility with players racing and recreational tennis Objective: The aim of this work is to measure and compare the range of motion of the wrist in racing and recreational tennis players and both upper limbs (playing, not playing). To compare the values measured 2D electrogoniometry, by sex and game levels. Method: Research probands were divided into two groups, a total of 20 people. In one group, there were ten boys and ten girls aged 14-17 years who play tennis at competitive level and train four to five times a week for at least 4 years. The second group also consisted of 10 boys and 10 girls in the same age range, but tennis is played on a recreational level once maximum twice a week for at least 4 years. It was important that the criteria for selecting probands had several common denominators. These are gender, age, level of game, whether measured by an individual not had any injury, regeneration is not and should not do other activities besides tennis. Wrist probands were tested using an electric goniometer. Were measured in the frontal plane (radial and ulnar reduction) and sagittal plane (dorsal and palmar flexion). These data were measured by sitting electrogoniometry and subsequently were compared and statistically analyzed. Results: Measurements confirmed...
A case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient after wrist arthroplasty.
Nemec, Štěpán ; Opatrná Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Křížková, Štěpánka (referee)
Title: A case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient after wrist arthroplasty. Objectives: The goal of this study was to describe the course of therapy of and to summarize the current knowledge of wrist arthroplasty. The participant of the study was a patient with typical physical ailments after wrist arthroplasty, which we aimed to decrease and compensate using methods of physical therapy. Methods: The thesis is divided into two parts. The general part describes the anatomy and kinesiology of the wrist joint. It also overviews the types and features of wrist endoprotheses, operational approaches, possible complications and therapeutical options. The special part deals with a case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient after wrist arthroplasty, which consists of an initial and final kinesiological examination, description of individual therapies and assessment of the outcome of therapy. Results: We succeeded in the relaxation of antalgic shoulder position, increasing of range of motion and muscle strenght, stretching of shortened muscles, improving of fine motor skills and partially in correcting the movement stereotype of right arm abduction. We did not succeed in decreasing pins and needles sensation in the second and third finger. Conclusion: The present study accomplished all its...
Functional Hand and Wrist Examination of Spinal Cord Injury People with Tetraplegia
Partišová, Michaela ; Kuželková, Anna (advisor) ; Rejtarová, Anna (referee)
Title: Functional Hand and Wrist Examination of Spinal Cord Injury People with Tetraplegia Abstract: This work deals with the functional hand and wrist examination of spinal cord injury people with tetraplegia. The examination focuses mainly on the areas of evaluation that are important for the occupational therapist. The theoretical part summarizes the basic knowledge of spinal lesion and spinal problems. Furthermore, a description of hand and wrist and their anatomy and function is provided in this part. Last but not least, the theoretical part mentions the importance of evaluation in occupational therapy and individual functional tests that examine the hand and wrist in persons after spinal cord injury. The purpose of the practical part is to perform a functional examination of the hand and wrist in persons after the damage of the spinal cord with tetraplegia with a help of an appropriately created evaluation instrument and then test this instrument in practice. The aim is to answer the elemental question: "To what extent is the proposed functional examination of the hand and wrist in people after the injury to the spinal cord with tetraplegia useful in practice?" The result is a designed assessment tool that investigates the function of the hand and wrist in people after spinal cord injury with...

Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with a diagnosis of the state of fracture of the distal radius Goals: The study is divided into two parts. General and special part. The goal of the general part was to get informatik about the problems of fracture of the distal radius and its technical issues. In the special part was to prepare a case report of a patient with the diagnosis and subsequent application of physiotherapy techniques and monitoring their results. Methodics: This work is focused on the treatment of patients after fracture of the distal part of the radius. In the general part is description of the anatomy of the forearm and hand, kinesiology, grips, traumatology - fractures and their treatment, mechanism, complications. I devote appropriate physiotherapy treatment and at the end of physical therapy. Part of the special is written in the form of casuistry studies. After the initial kinesiological testing is described goal of therapy, long-term and short-term plan, the progress of individual therapeutic units and finally output kinesiology examination with evaluation of the effect of therapy. Results: During therapy, there have been many changes for the better, especially in slippery and extensibility of soft tissues, there was also a restoration of joint play,...
